Play examples & What's next
HELLO, EXPLORERS!
It's been almost a month since Ruin Explorer was released, and the reception was nothing short of amazing! Let me start this update with a big thank you to everyone that bought, played, talked about or hyped up this game. This means a lot, and gives me reassurance that pursuing a career in game design wasn't really a disaster! But without further ado, let's get into the news.
GAMEPLAY EXAMPLES IN ENGLISH
The amazing intuitive tarot reader Dee Dandy (and also a great friend) played Ruin Explorer on her stream! She made a quick highlight video to show everybody how it went - it's an amazing video that shows off very clearly how each chapter should run. The video is only 7 minutes long, but this chapter took somewhere near a full hour of gameplay!
She's gonna be playing a new chapter every stream, so tune in if you want to see Beanie's next adventures!
COMING UP!
Some of the feedback I got for Ruin Explorer was about players having little or no clue how to proceed. While a bit of that is, indeed, intended (because you should contemplate your options and think about how you interact or deal with things), I'm not keen into making players frustrated. So. I'm working on an update - a list of extra optional questions for each Major Arcana Chapter to help anyone that's having a hard time picturing the place or why they are in there.
This will take me a while, but it's gonna be a free update along some other minor changes or inclusions. See you then!
